Presentation / Mentoring/ Coaching

One person alone cannot do everything and not control everything, it needs a handing over of responsibility, so that in interaction diversity for the solution of diverse problem scenarios becomes clear and in a certain “differentiation” – also from economic point of view – resources are used. In the Bible, we find a report that shows very well what good accompaniment should look like.

The Jitro principle according to Exodus 18 verse 14b “What are you doing with the people?”.

Good support in moderation / mentoring / coaching has 4 different aspects.
To know: In order to help a person out of a personal conflict, the application of psychotherapeutic concepts is often enough. In order to develop companies or organizations out of conflicts it needs special knowledge about

  • The complex relationships
  • The concrete goals
  • The possibilities and limitations

Jitro had met Moses personally in all aspects of Moses for over 40 years.
Knowledge: Sound fundamentals allow a general evaluation of the situation from a theoretical perspective, both socially and professionally.
Jitro had certainly gained good knowledge and experience in his life as a spiritual leader of a clan. Much of his experience could be applied to Moses situation.
Understanding: Combining extensive knowledge of a situation and circumstances with competence in different areas allows for a complex understanding of the circumstances and a definition of the required activities.
Jitro did not draw conclusions hastily but could understand the situation in all aspects.
Accompanying: If a problem has been identified, the required resources including all competences are available and targeted external help can be integrated.
Jitro knows, understands, is competent and willing to actively accompany his son-in-law.
