Management Mentoring:
“Michael was a great mentor to me and helped me a lot in the two years I worked with him. He always makes principled decisions and cares deeply about the people around him – he always puts his heart in them and often goes beyond the call of duty, in search of a win-win result. “

Consulting process Management development:
NEUSTART e.V. has been working for almost 30 years as a missionary-diaconal work among people from marginalized groups. The foundation has about 100 members, about 10 people full-time employed and 60 volunteers.
The management of the foundation consists of a board and an advisory board. The majority of the members of the management work on a voluntary basis. Traditionally, the selection of board members was based primarily on their spiritual and theological heart and secondarily on their professional competences. This resulted in limitations and degeneration in a rapidly changing society in terms of the club’s goals and development.
In order to counteract this degeneration, Michael Heinz was commissioned to advise, develop and supplement the management of the association and the individual executives. The development process began in autumn 2018 with a very accurate analysis of the overall state of the work. This was followed by the assessment of the individual leaders with their skills and shortcomings in order to identify development potential and additional needs.
A key finding of the still young process is that lack of competence in the areas of employee leadership and creative development, the club has shrunk to an existence-threatening size. Here was an urgent need for action. This was promptly addressed by targeted measures such as Employee settings counteracted. In the next step, goals are redefined and the need for skills and scope of the desired development is determined. So the work is to be led by the degeneration into the revitalization phase.
Michael Heinz is characterized by the fact that he can analyze states rationally, abstractly and accurately. This quickly gives clarity about what is. He is equally purposeful and competent in developing solutions and in developing a structured process to achieve the goals he has developed.
Personally, I appreciate Michael Heinz’s authentic, open and clear way of communicating – appreciative and encouraging, but also constructively critical and true. What adds to these qualities is his honesty and trustworthiness. Only in this way can we as a NEUSTART e.V. – community carry out this necessary, helpful but also painful process of change together.
